Britney Birr holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Honors from Wayne State University. For her four years of college she received the Wayne State University Gold scholarship and Maggie Allesee Talent Award scholarship annually. Britney has received the Rose Marie Floyd Scholarship in 2014 and 2016 and the Harriet Berg Endowment for Choreography in 2017 from Wayne State University. Britney has premiered twelve works throughout her four years of college and has performed four pieces at the American College Dance Association. She has had the opportunity to work with Eddie Taketa, Trey McIntyre, Faye Driscoll, Ron DeJesus, William Gill, Laurie Eisenhower, Nicholas Leichter, and Stefanie Batten Bland. Britney has also worked with Artlab J dance company, which is a Detroit based company led by Joori Jung from 2015-2017. She has also been a guest company member of SueMo: A Dance Experience which is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2014 and 2015. Other than her performance experience, she is a contemporary teacher at Angie Hahn’s Academy of Dance.
